The Cultural Competency Certificate (C3) is open to all staff, faculty and students of Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ who wish to participate. To attain the certificate participants attend three mandatory sessions and choose four additional sessions from a list of supplemental workshops. \u00a0These workshops are led by experts in their respective topics. Students, faculty and staff may attend any of the sessions even if not participating in the certificate program.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n\n\n
The Cultural Competency Certificate (C3)<\/strong> program is intended to increase the knowledge, sensitivity and skills in cross-cultural interactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The key components of Cultural Competence are knowledge gathering, skill-building, and community integration. The skills learned in the C3 program will aid participants in their chosen career, and as members of an inclusive community. Participants will have the skills to participate in a diverse workplace and care for the whole person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Areas of training include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n There are three mandatory workshops in the C3 program, and participants must also complete four of the additional workshops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The C3 Program is meant to be done over 1-2 years. All workshops to complete the curriculum will be offered every semester.
