The Medical Assisting field combines the clinical and administrative worlds in healthcare, making medical assistants both extremely valuable and versatile to their employers. This is a perfect entryway into a healthcare career with many graduates going on to pursue additional degrees in Nursing or Healthcare Informatics. Students are prepared to assist with patient care management, perform both administrative and clinical procedures, and, when necessary, assist in the supervision of office personnel. This exciting career has a salary range in WNY between $30K-$48K and is growing rapidly.ÌýWNY has 500+ job postings for Medical Assistants right now. Students can earn this degree in 24 months or less and be ready to enter the field right away. Our students enjoy hands-on clinical placements at area hospitals and clinics. Additionally, Trocaire Medical Assisting graduates earn 4 certifications during their coursework here, the only MA program in WNY that offers this. And, our students are prepared to sit for the certification exam to become a certified Medical Assistant, offered by the American Association of Medical Assistants.
